Morning all,
Hope all well with you lot! I had an embarrassingly good weekend finds wise but after a few lean outings I don't feel too guilty! I was also trying to get enough footage for a half decent video as I had been hard pushed to get anything recently - anyway got to rush but will put more up later!

My first thought on this however, was that it was a coper grip of sorts as I didn't want to get my hopes up - I don't find many rings... it fits snugly on my ring finger and has no more detail than the photos show... I thought it might be quite early but have re-assesed those early hope as it seems that a proper simple 'ring' like shape like this did not become popular til the 17thC...

Anyway I really like it and would wear it but I feel it might have magic, runic properties so am being a bit wary!!!

Any thoughts much appreciated!
All the B
Alexander

That's a little corker and if it's wearable I'd be wearing it :D

Great find and one which, after finding so many ring fragments, I'm totally jealous of ;)

It’s very wearable but I don’t know what it does….. it might be magic…. I will put it on ‘live’ in my upcoming vid on Thursday watch this space!

I know - I am experiencing a good patch! Make hay as you say - it won’t last but I have a new field to try at the end of the week - the owner showed me a coin he found on the surface there - a siliqua so it was ( I suspect you’re not impressed by that!😁 but it has to be a good sign don’t you think?!)

I might just detect a field where siliqua were lying on the surface ;)

Good luck and let us know how you get on. I’m expecting roman gold will surface for you soon
