Two items from yesterday , one being the cut half and the other a fragment piece which at a guess could be part of a bell top although it is very thin copper .
This was found in the same field as the Roman coin and brooch but I am not suggesting that it is Roman but I am intruiged to find out what it once was before its damage .

Depending on the size, the bell looks to be a harness or possibly hawking bell

Hi Paul, the bell appears to be sheet metal rather than the more common cast Bronze, may be older than the norm.
Photo of the inside fixing of the suspension loop may help to narrow down an Id.
Cheers,
Dave.

I suspect your bell is the same as this one I found ? https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts ... id/1005684
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking
