Morning all.
I found this recently - I am sure I have seen/found something like it before but I cannot put my finger on it... it does "weigh" a bit but surely too shiny to be old silver - I'm not sure if all the markings are some sort of design or not.... it also looks to be "folded" but will not come apart ... willingly anyway... I'm pretty sure its nothing or something everyday, as I said, I just can't put my finger on in!
Any help much appreciated!
Hope all well
Alexander

From the design I think it's supposed to be flat, maybe from the end of a lace like a chape? It looks very small at about 7mm x 25mm? Maybe medieval and a treasure item? :? :D

Could it be a silver ring that's been completely flattened deliberately for scrap or something? The v shaped bit is hard to work out though

I'm thinking along the lines of a lace tag or delicate strap end.
Size seems close to this.

Great ID - sadly that means more paperwork and wasted taxpayers money/ coroner’s time on something that will undoubtedly be disclaimed. But it is as it is I guess
