Hello all,
I have three further random objects that I would love an ID for or further information on. The first two are on this post.
The first item is bronze (?) and has been gilded. It has three holes in it on one side which are smooth internally (no threads) that do not go all the way through. This item had my FLO stumped!
The second item has a lot of file marks on it, is heavy (bronze again?). Half of it is obviously missing but I’m assuming it made a whole ring shape in its time.
Huge thanks for any information or input.

Some better scale could be useful? Could the second one be shrapnel?

Apologies again, the backdrop is just normal A4 lined paper but have just ordered myself a proper scale mat. Not sure about shrapnel suggestion as the shrapnel I have found hasn’t had the patina of this object or the extensive file markings all over. But I will look into it, thank you for the suggestion.

I wonder if it’s part of a barrel ring? I think it’s called a bung hole bush ring like this one…

P.S. if you need to show the size of something just stick a ruler next to it. Or even a pound coin will do, it’s just to get an idea of size that matters. Mind you for coins a ruler or scaled paper really does help :D
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

Sorry for the typo, you’re clearly not a ‘so girl’!
