It's a shell fuse nose cap, cool find.

Those things scare me. No idea if it’s justified or not but I get stressed just looking at them :?
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

Having found a few pieces of Fuze fragments recently, this is the first time i have seen the nose cap.
May be some numbers on the brass band eg,No119. Possibly a month/year as well.
Do tend to agree with Cath, don`t like the rest of the piece.
Cheers,
Dave.

I am not 100% sure but I think it's the fuse/nose cone from a WW2 era anti aircraft shell...I have found a couple on the same farm, and they are of the few types of find that seems to interest that particular farmer...

Given the nose cone in the picture has that bit hanging out the bottom, I would treat it with a bit of caution, and maybe seek advice if you intend to clean it...

I would expect that it has detonated but would still play safe until advised better by the more knowledgeable.
