Copper alloy with ferrous sticking out the end

Hello all--and thanks for looking,
I found this today--it is copper alloy about 1 cm square and has ferrous metal sticking out of one end in a way that suggests a tiny knife pommel or finial of some sort. I cannot shake off the feeling that I have seen something like it before but Cannot remember when or where
