I have only ever found just one .50 bullet, it was on pasture and it was live. :shock:
Well I didn't fancy having that in my pocket so reburried it very deep. I guess it must have fallen out of a plane?

Reference Saffron's comments on the rate of fire etc.
Think about the sheer number of casings / bullets that must have fallen over the south of England during the Battle of Britain. If you got hit on the head by a 50 cal one falling from a few 1000 feet, you'd know about it. Being lazy, has anyone googled to see how many were fired? I know a lot of the dog fights were actually conducted over the sea, and not over the land.
Always carefully proof-read what you've typed to see if you've any words out.
