Groats?!

Morning All,
The Great Allectus ( sounds like a magician but then I think he is one...) identified both of these as Edward III greats but one is noticeably bigger than t'other.... am I missing something?!

Neither are clipped, so the one on the left is a half groat, surely?

Inflation is a nasty thing! Otherwise check the weights, some coins are thicker and smaller but maybe put up mm dimension and we can check!

Measure the diameter. If it's 22mm it's a half :thumbsup:

Groats and half groats are easily confused without measurements

Thanks TheFenTiger… to be fair I did put in a scale on my original post I think Allectus was having an off day! No one is infallible not even he!
