Detecting friend unearthed these, on a pasture field, type of detecting i have yet to experience.
Couple of buckles, both of which still have the plates attached.

Then we come to what looks like a pair of spectacles, not found anything on the net yet but will be sending photos to the College of Optometrists.

The central circle on the second photo, could be where there was a stem to hold the glasses ( if that`s what they are ) to the eyes.
Appear to have some age to them.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers,
Dave.

Buckles with plates are always a nice find (not that I find many - one, to be precise!)

Think the specs thing looks like specs but is there a rim for the lenses to fit into? Hard to tell from the images

Your one buckle with plate is more than i have found, John.
The spectacles ? No rim or anything for glass to fit into. They do fit up to the eyes quite well.
Cheers,

Love the two buckles - both medieval. Nice to see the pin attached still.

I think your spectacles is a modern agricultural connecting plate but could be wrong
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

I think you may be right, I've been racking my brains to think where I've seen something like that before, it's when I fixed an old pair of opera glasses.
That is not dead which can eternal lie,
And with strange aeons even death may die.
