Found a small (18mm Dia - 1.5mm Thick - not milled) copper coin that came in at 50 ID on the ORX, but I do not recognise any of the detail there is left so need some help from the experts.

There appears to be some kind of tower or column to the left with an "A" visable on the right hand side. The reverse side appears to be completley toasted apart from what looks like HSED but I could be completley wrong with this interpritation as you can see it is very faint.

Hoping someone may know what this is as it has baffled me, which is not hard to do.

Hi there - very interesting but why do you think it is "not milled"?

Gut feeling is either counterfeit or token.
I’m hopeful somebody will have a great id.

Sure it's milled but I think keyfits was just referring to the edge being smooth?

Hard to tell which marks are made by corrosion and which are part of the actual design!

Thanks HolzHammer for your reply. I looked at the edge with a loop and cannot see any indication of it being milled but there is the chance that the milled edge has worn off? Also, having cleaned it a bit more a tiny bit of the edge came through and looks like it could be brass rather than copper?

Never seen anything like it before so would love to know what it is, possibly foreign!!!

Yes possibly, definitely an odd one.

A difficult ID for anyone i would suggest unless you recognise the tower/column coupled with the A but thank you for your interest.

I couldn't find a coin match for it so it probably isn't one? You could try cleaning the other side which may give a better clue?

Thanks for trying, I have already tried cleaning the other side again but unfortunately it is still showing very little so will have to put it down as the little mystery coin!!!
