Puzzled with these items, the first one looks like a mount but appears silvered on the rear, any help much appreciated, cheers

The mount is interesting and the design on it is very similar to one you often see on Roman fibulae. Maybe it was silvered and the back has some still in place?

The silvering on the rear looks like solder? I’ve had it on a few medieval mounts, not that I’m using that as an age diagnostic! It certainly looks like it has some decent age, love it!
