Out in the fields this morning and this came up. I've been hoping for Roman ever since searching these fields and finally got something..... a nice Caesar button........not quite what I wanted, but I'll take it :thumbsup: :D :D

My goodness i really didnt think that folk made Roman buttons
Nice find though, bet that made the ticker miss a beat to start with...

Victorian effigy,they like to cobble a few emperors together and makes some crazy legend. More than I got today though mate.

I fund something similar years ago only gold coloured. turned out to be from a Victorian ring :(

Yep, genuine aluminium button.
It was only about 3" deep and came out, first spadeful in the nicely loose soil? Saw it as shown, and as you say, my heart skipped a beat, but how I laughed when I saw it was a button..... :D
