£679, coincidentally priced the same as a Nox 600.
D2 - 13"x11" coil - audio only.

It looks like a Nox in a different guise!

The Nokta Legend has a carbon fibre shaft and weighs about 1360g. Though the Nox with a carbon shaft would be about 100g lighter.

With a lot of digs at the Nox it looks like they consider that the main competition and the one to beat. To be fair they seem to have done a good job and the pricing is very competitive. Lots of simultaneous multi frequency range options plus single frequencies.

The screen clock got a lot of air time  but the usage clock will certainly be good for the second hand market, even if the current users doesn’t care. It works like a mileometer on a car but measures usage hours instead of distance travelled - if that makes sense  So those sellers claiming they’ve used a machine only once for an hour will be in trouble.

They are offering two packages - both are the same machine - it’s called ‘The Legend’ by the way - and both have the same wireless headphones. The only difference is the second option - the pro pack - has an additional 6” coil plus a spare lithium battery and charger. Standard cost, as already said, is £679 and the pro pack is £789. First machines shipped in December.

Pricing is very competitive but it isn’t very light - around 3lb (1.3 - 1.4kg) - which is really the one big draw back.

Will this be the start of a price war for multi frequency machines?
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

The carbon fibre shaft isn’t standard for the Nox (it is for The Legend) though so really they weigh about the same

Yep both about the same as standard, but you can make the Nox lighter by adding a carbon shaft. My Nox with carbon shaft, 15" coil and some mud is 1385g. I wonder where that extra weight is on the Legend, top or bottom? It will certainly be interesting to see how performance compares with the Nox, probably not much in it?

It will be interesting to see the test/reviews

What makes me slightly dubious about buying a Nokta Makro is how quickly their machines seem to fade away into relative obscurity. How many people do you hear of or see using the Fors Core, Impact, Multi Kruzer or even the relatively recent Anfibio?

I was very surprised in the live launch video that they chose to display the potential winner's email address rather than just name alone!
