I wonder if the existing coils and headsets will be comparable or are we talking a completely new machine?

Apart from the weight saving, I can't see anything to make me change from my Nox as yet although it will be interesting to see some real world results once they start selling...

Its interesting you say that Pete, as that is exactly the reason i am quite probably going to buy the Deus II and replace my nox

As i'm getting older, as is the rest of the detecting community, then weight does become an issue in the fields
Plus i have a shoulder injury that has resurfaced after many years, which has swung it for me....excuse the pun
Please no comments about a bungee, wouldnt be seen dead with one of those until i'm in my 4 wheel drive battery buggy due to not being able to walk again

Minelab need to take note and make their machines lighter

Marcus from Regton reckons approximately £1,450 but isn't confirmed yet.

Everybody has different needs and priorities so I understand weight could be an important consideration for some....Personally, I want to see what its core performance is like first before shelling out lots of cash and learning a completely new machine...

Watching the video a second time, it struck me that it's now fully submersible to 20m, but I thought that the signal from current wireless coils could not transmit through water?

I bet Xp are watching nervously what the new Nokta SMF machine will offer and at what price point....

I think the 20metre thing with the "Bone conduction" for the ears will be a ground breaking thing for divers and wreck hunters
Very innovative

I see the pinponter is MI-8 and the headphones are called skullcrushers or something so there are obvious differences to the old set up, meaning that perhaps there isn't much if any compatability? You'd hope so, though.

Over 500 quid more than the nox 800 and you could buy 2 x 600s plus some extras.
I’m sure all the hype and Gary’s videos will be extraordinarily compelling but the real test will be a show down out in the fields.

So a pinpointer and a nonexistent phone app?

Think I might give it a couple of years or give a 600 a go
