I know it's a (very) long shot. But does anybody have any idea what this coin may be?? TIA.

It is a long shot, Adam, and with coins your best bet is to show both sides of it and give a size reference :thumbsup:

Just by the 28mm diameter it's a halfpenny coin or token. Maybe William III or George II due to it's condition?

I can see a crown on the last picture - looks like an early ER II crown on overseas coinage - Jersey / Hong Kong for example - I could be miles off
Always carefully proof-read what you've typed to see if you've any words out.
