Fantastic.... I must admit, I did cringe seeing the Archi using a metal trowel scraping out the coins.... finding a hoard like this is a dream

That was great watch  Thanks for the reminder.

Glad they got the FLO in rather than just digging it straight out of the ground  Surprised it wasn’t lifted as a whole piece though. Anyway I hope the finders are relishing this special find, a once in a million one that is :D
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

Yes, I was surprised at the way he was stabbing at the side where the others were.

And I’d expect a few more left behind scattered by the plough.
That’ll take a few weeks to prepare a d catalog.

I know the FLO and that chap really knows his stuff. However it might look to us, his experience will have guided his hand and I'll lay odds that not a single coin was damaged

They know exactly what they're doing, I've watched them excavate neo-natal graves on one of our sites

Have been following that live feed, must admit it was exactly how it should be done, possibly the best recovery that anyone will see.Well done to everyone concerned.Watched this afternoons live stream when Gorden Heritage had been using his GPX pulse to try and see if anything else was deeper.

If i am honest i think its possible that we may see something else surface.
