And two more objects. Not a clue on either of them, would be so grateful for any information, with thanks

The first look to be hand engraved. Have you polished them up or are they gold?

Thank you so much for your reply. I did polish them to reveal the pattern - fairly sure they’re silver, I thought they were cufflinks but doesn’t make sense that there’s two holes for links in both, and blank on the back. Very curious!

I agree on the hand carving thing mentioned as they arent an identical pattern
Strange to find 2 of them, so my thoughts are they were on something wooden and the wood has rotted away
Maybe a cane or walking stick of sorts?
Unless they were joined together with the cufflink idea?

The other item i have also seen before and looks like possibly a hand made nail that would have held lead sheeting or roofing sheeting in place?
The overlap being the bit that held whatever it was in place

I expect that they are silver and perhaps strap mounts? Were they found close together? They could quite well be treasure items? Nice finds.

Does the second item have a seam along the stem? I think I might know what it is...
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

P.S. just spotted Blackadder had pretty much ID’ed it anyway!
