I may, or may not (depending on how ruthless the editing is), have a tiny slot representing women detectorists on this programme 🙀😂

Sounds promising, and just has to be better than the other detecting series on offer.

Mind you, by the very nature of the programme there will be a fair bit of gold/silver finds on show, so stand by yer beds for another influx of would-be treasure hunters

The editor's scissors can be brutal, but hope to see you on it

Yes, I dare say you’re right, the programme in essence ‘ follows the bounty’ but in the case of the most exciting finds (George and his Roman gold coin hoard) the perspective is on the journey from soil to museum and the detailed recording process involved. There is also an emphasis on highlighting how MD is for all, by featuring women and children detectorists as well. It was fascinating to be (very minorly) involved with!

Will be worth looking at.
Better than an ad currently running by a bank ? with a detectorist and a shed :o
Cheers,
Dave.

Been hearing about the filming of this over the summer and hope the end result is as good as the programme idea and it translates to the final product :D
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

With someone dressing like Indiana Jones I don't think it will be any good.

I just want to say I met “Indiana
Jones” on the first filming day and spent a long time talking to him and his dad. He has had some awesome hoard discoveries at a young age, but is clearly very passionate about metal detecting the right way, articulate, and keen to learn. I’d back someone like him as the future of our hobby any day!

George, the guy in the hat on the promo photo, who is a main feature of the series.
