Clint, your back in the seat mate :clapping:
I thought I had given the game away by showing both ends but it did take a while for someone to get it 👍

It's a bit of a strange brooch to be honest, found it last year or the year before but it's much more chunky than your usual equal ended brooch, much more robust as most are quite lightweight , well done Clint, show us your bits .......or a bit of one of your bits anyway

Cheers Phil & what a lovely & different brooch it is mate,
Right then, a quick scan through my finds photos on my phone whilst sat drinking tea in an operating theatre & here’s a zoom in on the rear of a find I had no idea of until the FLO showed me similar ones.

First impression is a strap fitting like a slider though that bar is maybe wrong?

Not a slider Easy,
This will give it away, imagine a loop on the sticky out bit on the reverse & a fancy looking front on display.
Clint

Well done Phil
Yep early Roman Button & loop fastener, that would of had enamelling in the decoration, although when I found it, I just chucked it in the bag thinking it was Georgian horse decoration stuff!
Your go mate,
Clint
