Boss of some type? Any idea of date

Found this boss this evening along with another dump farthing George 1st 1721 and a buckle interested to see if the boss has any age as not seen one like this before I’m guessing at not that old but I have no idea any help would be great

I suspect all 3 items are not that far apart in date. Those horse bosses are usually dated from 1600-1800 although some records push it to 1900. I suspect it’s pre 1800.
I love all 3 of these finds. The boss is great but I have a massive soft spot for dump coins. They are great finds :thumbsup:
