That is a lovely item.

It must have taken a lot of skill, and time, to make. Certainly a one off, and as BA said "a very personal gift to someone special".

I wish we had coins like that now.

Whenever I’ve had a glimpse of one of these badges I marvel at the skill involved in making them. This is a wonderful find - much better than just finding the coin!
