Possible Forgery?

Had a pretty uneventful few hours yesterday with nothing but buttons and toasted coppers for my troubles.

On checking the coppers when I got back home, I noticed this was a bit strange…

I think it’s a contemporary forgery of something but of what I don’t know..the rear is completely toasted so no real help.

Geo III Imitation/ ’evasion’ halfpenny by the look of it.
