This is just one of the ways we display finds. How do you display them?

I'm not allowed to display any finds in the house so had a display of the larger ones in the garage man-cave. :?

That's a shame Easylife....these little treasures should be out in full display imo......they make me smile as I walk past them.

Definitely NOT my best or most attractive find but very useful also quick & easy to photograph. A fossilised animal foot print. Still have no idea what animal but suspect cloven hoofed, bovine or deer ?? Makes a good door stop.

I know, me too, big changes are currently in the pipeline here, we're moving house soon. I've just had an idea, how about an entire wall display with down lighters? It would be like a huge piece of unique art and better than keeping the better stuff hidden away in boxes? But would she agree? :? Maybe in a rustic room?

Just a crumpled secondhand sixpence, what a cheapskate he is! That is really nice though, I found a unique tectite (eyes only) in Aussie and had it mounted into a pendant for my partner. She also claims and wears all of the better rings that I find. I can't believe that she permanently wears the 'One' ring that I found, but she ain't disappeared yet! :rollinglaughing:

Ye gods, there's me carefully constructing an image of a bluff old duffer who cares more for gin than anything else and here's the memsahib taking it apart brick by brick. Knew it was a mistake letting her join. Knew it.

Oh well, in for a penny...

We also had a ring made up from purchased gold with bobbly bits on top made from a knackered hammered coin and Roman casting waste.

Of course, we exchanged rings and one of them belt/harness ring jobbies was pressed into service.

Guess which one was mine

"Display" my finds !!!!
Crikey Susie ,my Mrs would have a field day with her scissors If I hung them around the place like that. I`m chuckling just thinking about it if I did that. I can just picture her now she`d be like Edward Scissorhands going wild cutting them all down straight away. They wouldn`t see the light of day even , besides I know it wouldbe too hard for my two pet cats to resist having a pop at if they were up and swaying in any breeze anyway, so its a none starter in the house .

I get moaned at for leaving my daily finds in a small dish on the kitchen windowsill, let alone wanting to display any. You're an understanding woman

I didn’t think about them. Old glass ash trays full of un-I.D’d ‘things’
Keep them long enough and it’s amazing how one suddenly comes to light when you see something similar.
Display ? Well I s’pose you could call them ‘The Unknown’ Wonder if the Tate would be interested.
Or maybe the Turner prize. Got to be more interesting than some of the crap they accept as entries.
