hello Dante. i do recognise the other moniker. Does it refer to Hawkstone Park at all?
Enthusiasm comes and goes i find. I have come to the conclusion that a goodly portion of this is to do with personal energy levels. Every bit as much as it is to do with other circumstances like success in the field and weather etc etc.
I think that sometimes it is a good idea to go out and pretend to be enthusiastic....'fake it till you make it' kind of thing.
I am very much of the school of thought that you get a machine you like and enjoy and really mine that seam. I have had some of my machines for many years and persevered with them well after others had 'moved on' to newer technology. It is good to really know your kit before flitting onto a new broom.
However, i have also found that sometimes I have hit a bit of a wall and the renewed vigour of a fresh challenge has made a real difference. I had the GMP for many years. long after others had 'moved on and up' to the Deus. i loved the GMP. loyal to it. But.....in the end I realised it would be good to have a fresh impetus and that is when i bought my Nox. glad I did. I have been invigorated. Mind you....in 4 years time the same thing will happen. i won't want to change on one level...but actually i will end up changing or my enthusiasm will dwindle and at my age that may well be the curtain down on detecting altogether.
