No that is really good compared to the state of my first one and is still the worst that I have ever found. :thumbsup:

Not early Edwardian(I,II).....different lettering, fuller bust/shoulders with bare neck & totally different crown.

Verdict: Edward III or Richard II penny.

Edward III - Durham(ecclesiastical) Fairly certain that's a crozier before CIVI. :thumbsup:

The first one is always the hardest to find and no matter what the condition, very precious.

Took me 5 years to find one. It’s battered, piece missing but I still love and admire it :thumbsup:

hammered is a hammered, many are in bad condition but they all count and to get a great one is like 10% and a fine condition rare one maybe 1% maybe less but a bad one can make your detecting day a good one and as we all know when they are in the field that the 1% hammered could be close by. great find.

A very good day one you will not forget :thumbsup: my first was a half cut John in a field I didn’t have permission in but that’s another story and has been sorted a honest mistake
