Found this yesterday. I think it's Roman but the face doesn't look familiar. The back is pretty poor but put up anyway in case someone can see something I can't.
Found on modern pasture with the Deus on HOT with reactivity reduced to 2.5 and using the X35 11" coil.
Can you Roman ID people give me some idea of who it is and potential age? A challenge I know!

Pity about the condition. I would go with house of Constantine but not sure which one :(

Trouble is, apart from a few sestertius, all the Roman coins I find are pretty poor. Maybe that’s why I dislike them :? The give a glimmer of hope then sorely disappoint

Thanks for the ID - it does look a bit like Constantine himself but I do struggle to tell them apart! :D

Hi Cath, well done on the Roman.
Email the photos to your FLO as they are still working remotely.
The photos are good enough.
Normally when I take coins in far worse condition, I get an instant id on the Emperor and then the full id when recorded.
Cheers,

My puntage would be in the direction of Valentinian III DNVALENTINIANVSPFAVG with two winged victories reverse VICTORIA AVGG

First quarter of the 5thC so not one of the usuals. If I'm anywhere near right, of course :D
