I get in one in four Saturdays off, so tomorrow I'm heading to a new field, hopefullysomething might turn up with a bit of luck.

There's nothing interesting showing on Google maps, it's a freshly harvested field, lots of stiff looking stubble, but I'm looking forward to trying somewhere new.

What do you have planned for the weekend folks?

I am planning on getting out early doors tomorrow, but the gin keeps getting poured :D

Will manage it i,m sure, need to get out and back as the Mrs is working in the afternoon.

Will be visiting a site where ive had a fair bit of iron age before but is getting thin on the ground now, fingers crossed though, its been a good few weeks since ive been out, hopefully I can still remember how to turn my machine on

Are you watching me from behind the sofa? Got my place bugged?

We seem to be living in the same universe, chap. I'm out tomorrow to a permission that I've only visited twice and drew total blanks both times. However, more fields have become available and there has to be something on one of them. Eh? Doesn't there?

Got a couple of jobs I need to get done tomorrow day but hoping to sneak out for a couple of hours in the evening.

Sunday we have a Club dig at a new location which I will probably go...I am not hugely keen on detecting in large groups, especially at the minute, but it's the only way I can see myself getting on different ground for the foreseeable future.

BTW Andy, did you get your wireless headphones fixed?

Regards,

Peter

I shouldn't worry about research not showing much, most land was used historically to some degree. Any new permission is all I need to spur my interest of what might be, especially if it is previously undetected. I don't mind at all if it is quiet without the modern trash but quite disappointing if it has lots of metallic green waste of can shred! It'll be fun and you will find stuff!

I'll be camping on a friends 6 acre horse field with them for their birthday this beery looking weekend. I might take the detector just for them to use if they wish with some guidance?
I think I'm next out on Wed?
Good things come to those who wait.

Of course, you just need to pick the right field where the goodies are, go with the gut but if that doesn't work then go against it! It's always good to have a plan 'B' ! :rollinglaughing:
