Evening all, been loosing my Mojo a bit lately with one thing and another, politics ( of one sort or another) been taking their toll.
Too much Globalism , too many people wanting to control my hobby, too many people wanting to take control of me, wearing my frame for anothers proffit  , I am back to work , after being on furlough    shit

Still, harvest has come early and ive managed to get out for about an hour or so on my way home on Wednesday and Thursday, time seems tight at the moment though, will have to do something about it I think, massacre, murder or maybe something a little more extreme like refusing to take the knee    , or maybe just get on with it and stop moaning :clapping: :clapping:

Anyways, had a few hours out, Wednesday was absolutely peeing down, Thursday was as good as it gets, sunny, damp soil, just very windy which I like, unfortunately I needed to get home so not too much time.

Went on a Romano British site ive permission on, I mullered it last year but the signals are coming up, although few and far between on the stubble after a few months for the ground to settle, a couple of radiates and several minims were picked up with the round HF coil on the Deus near to the surface with a few deeper signals coing up in the form of lead, a barrel tap key and a trade weight.
I spent a lot of time on this field last year, and the year before, and the year before, just shows those finds keep on coming up with the plough even if you cover every inch of the field .
Oh, and a fragment of a lead vesica seal .
Be lucky people and dont let the B'stards grind you down .
aoo.

You’ve done better than me. Some nice finds there, especially that vessica seal. I’d be happy with part of one as never had a sniff of one so far. Shame about the Romans though ;)
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

I guess many would be quite happy with those finds, but it's hard to maintain raised expectations. The plough will also change the orientation of targets as well as raise some. Nice barrel tap key, it looks high security.
It's a far from perfect world so you've just got to make the best of it.
Good things come to those who wait.

Yep, should of had the high security key on the barrel last night Easy

As for raised expectations, yep, I guess a lot of people would be happy with the finds but to be honest, there is nothing there to get the juices flowing too quickly, as I always say, its great to get out no matter what I find, just getting out is wonderful  but finding something lovely is even more so :D

Ive never had it recorded Cath but I reckon its 14th century, the chip carving is very similar to Kings Head clasps of that date, ive always guessed that it was a mount for a reliquary box or similar, maybe from a cross though, not 100% sure to be honest, I quite like it like that, theres not much unknown and wonder left in the world these days is there ? :) ;)
