Welcome to the forum! My real name is Cath and I'm a Lancashire lass now living in Oxfordshire. I've been detecting for only a few years, starting in 2016, but have loved the idea of detecting for years but never quite got round to doing it. I feel like I've been detecting for ever though! I adore the research side of things and have an extensive library of books and an overflowing electronic library too. It's addictive!

I'm a lover of all things medieval. Well actually from when the Roman's skipped off back to mainland Europe right though to the Stuart period and a bit beyond. I don't get excited about Roman coins (sorry  ) but Roman artefacts can get me interested :D

I started with a Garrett EuroAce but now have an XP Deus, which I love. I mainly detect on my own but enjoy an odd group dig with people I've met through the hobby.

If you need any help with the forum please just let me know and I'll happily help you if I can 8-)
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

Hello Cath!
i am intrigued by those 'odd group digs'.  I clearly never got invited to any of those.
