I couldnt go to todays dig because of the hangover from hell . But the missis brought some nice stuff back . Any info on the whistle would be appreciated

That's an interesting commemorative medallion or so it looks centre top. Need a higher res pic for my eyes anyway.
Looks like a Hawking whistle.
But it's hat lovely spindle whorl that's doing it for me! I would be ecstatic with that.. I'll have to flick through my identification books but that is early. Sticking my neck out.. looks mildly Viking. Don't quote me on it but either way.. I love that spindle whorl! :thumbsup:

The whistle's more likely to be a dog whistle, but an idea of size would be useful :thumbsup:

My eyes are crap too . Everything is a blur
I'll get better pics on tomorrow when shes cleaned them

Its pewter and 3cms long . Was thinking police whistle ??

Ive asked her to . But shes a facebooker and shes never off it . This is loads better than facebook

Well with finds like those its nice to have a record of them that you can always refer back too, facebook loses that in a few days, where as a forum they are here for eternity and easily searched for in your posts
We already have quite a few ladies as members promoting our hobby, and we would love to see more joining up too :thumbsup:
