Best detector for 8 year old

I've been asked by a parent which machine would be best for an 8 year any ideas please?

He's apparently about 4ft 5"

There’s actually quite a few cut down versions of mainstream, good detectors. Any idea of budget?
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

Garrett Ace 150. And actually finds things! About £100 but much less if you look around. :thumbsup:

They didn't really say. Can't imagine it would be any more than £200 though. Not as its his first detector
