Hi all, this came up today on a recently harvested wheat field. Was 10”deep and gave a sketchy but definite 2 way dig me signal. Deus on modified hot.
Copper alloy with the remains of gold gilt.
Finds from this field have been varied, BA, Roman medieval to modern
Any ideas on age?
Thanks

I think there were 2ndC plate brooches with open centres like that. If I could find me books I'd have a look.

Edit: or do I mean disc brooch?
