Out today from 9am until 8pm, I'm all stiff now & soaking the old bones in the bath, on a field I usually avoid near Bicester because it's so Stoney & batters all the finds, but was meeting the farmer there about an electrical job soon, he'd been trenching along the length of the field for a water & electric supply & filled it in, so on the filled in trench & where the tracks of the digger had flattened the stubble I had the day up & down the field,
Well loads of crap bits came up, but three good bits showed, a harness pendant, a James 1st sixpence & a cut quarter, I think Edward the confesser but needs a clean up,
So will have another go tomorrow.
Clint

Wow that’s a good day  . We really should meet up one day as you are so near. Working up the courage to ask if I can bring a friend on my new fields. Only a month on them so seems a shame not to share with such limited time and so much land.

Mind you it seems you aren’t short of somewhere to go anyway :D
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

You detected for eleven hours and you're going out for more? Got to admire your staying power, fellah. And if you get too sore you can always tap up Nanna Cath for some of her ointment :D

Nice finds, by the way

Some great finds there. Thanks for sharing. That's a long detecting shift you put in there. I'm glad you were rewarded for it.
