Chain mail. Age ?? Anyone

Found this last summer . Its made from bronze . If anyone has a clue what age it is roughly let me know . And is it armour or did chain mail have other uses .

Chain mail has been made from before roman times and it could be more than 2,000 yrs old, but then again it could be modern re-enactment or other, its difficult to age.

Would it be worth sending a photo to your FLO Joe?
The patina show some age to those, and the top ring looks a different shape to the others which may be a telling sign in its make up?

Nice find though, potentially exciting :thumbsup:

Just had a quick flick through on PAS database, a bit contradictory but it seems like it would be later medieval/post medieval from what I can see Joe :thumbsup:
