Hoping this may be my first Roman coin albeit just a Grot...I found it on a club dig this afternoon just as I returned to my car...it was literally about ten feet away, but was initially covered by another car that was parked next to me..
I came up as an 18 on my Nox which was in Field 1, All Metal, Iron Bias 2, Recovery Speed 3 and was around 8" down...I had been digging quite a bit of white lead at 18, and initially thought that's what it was, so was pleasantly surprised when a coin popped out..
In the hand, on the side shown, I can make out a male bust facing right...the other side is completely blank...
I suspect it's too far gone for any ID, but just looking for confirmation it is in fact a Grot.
Possible Roman Grot???

I might be imagining this, but looking at the examples on line, I think the Emperor is Hadrian....
