We had a week away paying visits to four different permissions with mixed results due to the weather and recoveries.

We're hoping to create video's of our escapades using a combination of drone and hand-held camera-work to complement our blogs and forum posts.

We had lots of Roman pottery with quite a few Roman coins and a couple of Medieval coins.
Here's a couple that required a little TLC......
Sept Denarius

Domitian Encrusted

The full range of pictures and story including an elusive landowner can be found on our blog page.

We're up in Northumberland on Thursday for a long weekend which should be fun :)

Both coins have been nicely enhanced , Paul.
The legend on the Sept Denarius, looks hardly worn.
Cheers,
Dave.

Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

Hi John,

A few very gentle passes with "electrickery" and then picking off with a pick under a stereoscopic microscope.

Evening Cath,

We did have a few good finds which are all on our Flickr portal as there are 72 images there

One of the highlights was meeting up with a landowner and him leading us to a field that may prove to be special.
This landowner was one of the hardest to track down as described on our blog.

On a slightly different note, we have obtained special permission to detect a scheduled monument later this week, so that may prove to be exciting!

We're hoping that the new season may make up for the poor 2019/2020 season we had.
