Update from another site that I thought you would like to see

I hope you don't mind but I showed the pictures to my friend Brian Read whos the author of metal detecting reference books. This is what he says.......Interesting object. The facial style could be Roman period or early medieval/medieval. The size & hole is appropriate for a whittle-tang knife terminal but I may be wrong.
