I managed a few hours yesterday on a field I’ve named my Meh field. It returns bits and pieces but nothing that makes the heart beat faster.
I normally get several buttons, bits of lead, blobs of metal and the old coin if I’m lucky.
With all the rain we’ve had, I thought I’d give it a go, to see if it’s livened it up any.
It seems to have worked. I pulled up a few nicer items, and not at great depths either.
A nice little spur rowel, a buckle and another item. I know what it is as I’ve found one before. Some of our more experienced members will know what it is, but I’d be interested to see if other do.
The field is now known and the not so Meh field :D

I’m sure the rain has helped, it consolidates the ground, reduces the fluffiness for the want of a better word to the soil and increases signals

Sure to see more finds coming up on quieter ground, adds to confidence and more positive attitude

I think I know what it is that you posted but won’t spoil it if I do

No it’s not specifically military but someone in the military could have used one. This is broken by the way, they are a complete round normally.

Add to my first reply. Something to do with the timing mechanism on a bomb.

Grey matter works in fits and starts these days. Plus military isn’t something I’m interested in
