I must say I'm getting tired of the whole affair now. It's a bloody car crash and nobody really knows what they are talking about.
You get different figures and stats from different sources.. Don't know what I make of this confusion to be honest.
Plod on though.. onwards and upwards. If I break a rule I could honestly plead ignorance!
Fed up with it all. :|

With the Spanish flu pandemic in 1918-20 the first wave is estimated to have killed about 5 million people, but the second wave is estimated to have killed 50-70 million people.

This carona-19 pandemic officially first hit the UK in February and only spread to a great extent in March.
This type of virus is always much worse in the winter period, so before it could get a big hold we were already leaving the winter period.
During the summer the number of cases very significantly decreased.

In many areas we are now close to the March figures, yet we are not yet in winter.

Trust me we have seen nothing yet. Very regretably in the coming months the situation will get much worse. We will see very significant numbers of deaths and the restrictions on peoples lives will become much stricter.

Sadly I think you are right...Added to that, I think we might start seeing some civil unrest as certain groups capitalise on the situation and stir things up...

Strange irony that a healthy chunk of Nottingham is now going into Tier 3 ,yet a certain cash club rolled over the border into Tier 2 Leicestershire with 50+ detectorists from who knows where last weekend.

As long as the attendees left some contact details on the envelope with the cash in they were welcome no checks where they were from, just click "going" on FB.

Somewhat strange that the same "Club" has only been registered as a business since August 2020 to dodge said Covid regulations.

And people support this reckless behaviour and wonder why the wider infection rate is escalating as those "unknown" people stop at petrol stations etc for some grub & fuel attracted by a "dig"......
I`m Marmite me. Opinionated, obstinate and somewhat tenacious.

Must be ok because it's within the current law...Seems that many Social Clubs are now reopening in Tier 3 areas because of another loophole where they are not classed as licenced premises like pubs..

The Government really needs to get a grip and start restricting travel outside Tier 2 and Tier 3 areas unless it's for essential services...

Even the so called total lockdown in Wales has so many exemptions for Work, Education, Care ect, people seem to be travelling about as normal in many respects..
