Archaeological Dig !

I suppose the archaeological excavation I'm currently employed upon kind of qualifies as bottle digging as we've found so many bottles and part bottles on it already, but really it's just an excuse to show off a lovely old clay pipe I excavated yesterday !
A Turk's head pipe from around 1870.

Also found yesterday by someone else, a beautiful almost complete jug from some time between 1600 and 1800.
Plus a few other bottles.

Nice Hamilton , shame about the neck . The med bottle is interesting with the increments between the lettering and nice to see it has come out whole . Clay pipe is nice too :thumbsup:

Love the Turks Head Pipe.
Never ever found a pipe bowl.
Always good to see old bottles and the jug is special too, to be so complete.
