A good half day today out on short stubble . Weather was a lot cooler and after a few days of much needed rain , the ground was was a lot easier to dig . Plenty of signals with a heap load of buttons , bits of scrap etc but a 1st for me was this pierced little George IV threepence which made all the false signals worth the battle .
More buttons and bits and bobs later and another piece of silver which gave off a feint but steady piercing signal .
There were a few copper coins coming up and all were worn and in poor condition but the best of the bunch was this George 111 half penny in decent condition .
Amongst the endless stream of buttons was one particular decorative one with some nice detail .

A couple of nice silvers, plenty of targets in that field even if most are buttons.

Love the George IV one. I’d be happy with that lot. Modern silver coins are rare on my permissions.
