Forged hammered coin or somrthing else?

Evening all,

Found this earlier - could it be a (very poor) counterfeit hammered coin? It was from an area which has been throwing a few hanmereds up recently. I am rather fond of it - the king looks very jolly! Photo has rotated once i attached it - apologies.

16mm diameter.
